My monitor only goes up to 1024x786, unless I run only slightly higher at 60Hz, which I hate. I've spent hours trying varrious patches/hacks, but none of them worked. It all worked fine and dandy, untill the chocobo places. Last quarter I reinstalled the PC version and attempted to play it again. If I get the PC version can I run it on XP one and two can I still use the normal PSX controler as I've bough two for the emulator but with I can't play them on the original game it's pointless. i recommend epsxe version 1.5.2 over 1.6.0 cause even tho 1.6 fixes some games it breaks a bunch of others.

and you can also get rumble with those drivers as well. youll have best results with epsxe if you use the XBCD Drivers with the profile made to mimic the dual action controller. I've also played Megaman Legends 2, and Megaman 8 on the same config.Īs for your controler question, any PC controller will do, I wouldn't recomend the Xbox 360 controller as the drivers are really terrible, for instance, the back shoulder buttons will NOT work. I also emulate Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy IX with this set, so best bet is that you'll get decent compatibility. I used the PC version, but I found the emulator better due to the fact that the PC version would crash occasionally. Your best bet is ePSXe, i'll include the plugins for it and tell you the best set to go with.
